Referendum Question No. 1: "Shall a bond issue be ratified for the purposes set forth in 'An Act to Authorize the Issuance of Bonds in the Amount of Twenty-four Million Dollars on Behalf of the State of Maine for the Purpose of Building State Highways,' passed by the 98th Legislature?"; Referendum Question No. 2: "Shall a bond issue be ratified in an amount not to exceed $2,500,000 as set forth in 'An Act to Authorize Ferry Service for North Haven, Vinalhaven, Islesboro and Swan's Island' passed by the 98th Legislature?"; Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 1: "Shall the Constitution which now provides that the credit of the State of Maine shall not be directly or indirectly loaned in any case, be amended, as proposed by a resolution of the Legislature Pledging Credit of the State and Providing a Twenty Million Dollar Bond Issue for Guaranteed Loans for Industrial Purposes?"; Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 2: "Shall the Constitution which now provides that the general election shall take place on the second Monday of September, biennially, be amended, as proposed by a resolution of the Legislature, to the Tuesday following the first Monday in November?"; Proposed Constitutional Amendment No. 3: "Shall the Constitution, which now provides for a two-year term for Governor, be amended as proposed by a resolution of the Legislature, to a four-year term with a further limitation that he shall not succeed himself after two such successive terms?"
